Meet Our Teachers |

| John Ehlert began studying yoga in 1994 with Jim Baltzel and has continued since that time with classes from LAYA teachers. His enthusiasm for teaching Gentle Yoga comes from his teachers and is combined with extensive experience and training as a high school biology teacher and athletic trainer. |

| Jane Peterson has been practicing yoga for five years. As the Women's Athletic Director, Volleyball Coach, and Physical Education Instructor at Central Lakes College she is accustomed to "coaching" women to understand more about themselves and their bodies. She is excited about this new opportunity to assist women to connect with themselves through the benefits of yoga. Jane's approach to yoga comes from her background in exercise physiology and fitness. |

Rob Rasmussen began his study of yoga in 1975 in St. Paul. His interest in yoga continued through the 1980s in classes at the Healing Center in Brainerd. He began teaching with LAYA in 1999. He has attended teacher training intensives in Colorado for several years, and has also received teacher training in Iyengar yoga at Minneapolis yoga studios. Rob includes nutritional information, audiovisual aides and some music in his teaching. Rob¹s goal is to help students develop a home practice. |

| Peg Van Buren began her practice of yoga in the early 1980s with an instructional book. Finding consistent practice a challenge, she started classes with LAYA. She has attended yoga classes for the past five years. Enjoying working with seniors in different settings has inspired her to share the benefits of yoga with them. |

Sarah Cohoes began her yoga practice in 1981 and studied in an off-again on-again cycle for the next two decades. She began to deepen her practice earlier this decade and has been teaching classes for LAYA since 2006. Sarah is certified in Pilates instruction and obtained her RYT-200 certificate (Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance, 200-hour level) in the fall of 2008. |

Linda Michurski
began her yoga practice in 1995 and continued studying in
Washington D.C., New York, Minneapolis and Brainerd, MN. She
received her RYT-200 hour certificate (Registered Yoga Teacher
with the Yoga Alliance) at the Yoga Loft in Willmar, MN in 2009.
Linda teaches healthy cooking classes and shares her unique
knowledge of nutrition with her students. Her style is an
eclectic mix of hatha yoga practices. |
