Yoga Class Descriptions
Introductory Yoga is for students who are new to yoga and want to learn basic asanas (poses), along with fundamentals of posture, breath and stretching.
Continuing Yoga Levels 1 and 2 are merged for students who are ready to move out of intro class. Student experience with yoga may vary.
Gentle Yoga is a slow-paced introductory class that emphasizes gentle stretching and supported poses. Appropriate for new or continuing students.
Tuesday Morning Yoga Combines elements of Introductory, Gentle and some Level One practices. Basic asanas, breath control and stretching are taught in a class open to all, regardless of experience, ability, age or size.
Level I yoga continues the practice of asanas, focusing on increasing strength and flexibility. This course is appropriate for students who have taken Introductory Yoga and want to continue their study.
Level II includes a greater range of asanas, along with other aspects of yoga study. This course is for students who have a personal practice and who are ready for more challenging work. We recommend this class for experienced Level I students who are comfortable with the asanas practiced in that class.
Yoga/Pilates Mix: A blend of traditional Pilates exercises with yoga to give you the best of both practices—total body strength, flexibility, and relaxation all in one class! Open to everyone, regardless of experience, ability, age or size.
Restorative Yoga Focuses on deep relaxation and renewal, with supported poses that help to open, energize and refresh. Open to students with at least 5 weeks of yoga experience.
